Sandy Cooper
Sandy has been a practicing real estate broker since 1986 in Durango. Before beginning her real estate career she drove a school bus for the Durango school district. A job she says taught her all the roads in the county, as you have never been so lost as having 65 kids sitting behind you that have no idea the route to school but can find their way home in a heartbeat. She spent 18 years at the local Coldwell Banker before taking on the job of managing broker at Bobbie Carll Realty. During her time there the brokerage increased from 3 satellite offices with 10 brokers to 5 satellite offices and 30 brokers. The Durango office was “mother earth”, with Mancos, Bayfield, Silverton and Ignacio completing the galaxy. After a short stint at a local title company she jumped head first into the foreclosure business which was flourishing at that time. Then being “saved” by Keller Williams Realty Southwest Associates in Durango she took on the Supervising Broker position. She now also teaches the Pre License course for American Dream Real Estate School and she holds designations including CRS, CRB, GRI, CMRE, SRES as well as the following certifications, e-PRO, CNE and EcoBroker.
She has 3 grown children that have generously given her 19 grandchildren and 1 great. She says if she had known how much fun grands were she would have avoided all that other hard stuff of raising their parents. When she is not teaching or saving new brokers from “real estate jail” you can find her with her Service Animal, Baylee Cooper (Border Collie) and they will be cooking from her authentic 1890 chuck wagon, driving her team of mules (Sunny and Breezy), camping in her remodeled trailer, sewing, knitting, painting, gardening, fishing or just watching the Colorado sunset (but rarely the sunrise).

Craig O'Rourke
I have called Colorado home since 1983 and currently reside here with my family. As a devoted husband and father of three, I cherish the opportunities and beauty that Colorado offers.
In 2009, I entered the real estate industry, initially helping sellers during the foreclosure crisis. My career has evolved to include professionally staging properties, setting optimal list prices, and navigating complex multiple-offer scenarios in the ever-changing real estate market.
I've also guided first-time homebuyers through down payment assistance programs, actively negotiating and educating them on the buying process. I've had the priviledge of assisting seasoned buyers in acquiring homes and investment properties, a path to generating passive income and lon-term wealth.
I earned "Rookie of the Year" title at Keller Williams Realty for my first-year achievements. Subsequently, I became a "Top Producer" by closing over 200 transactions in a three year period. I also built and led a substantial team that maintained this high-performance level. At the peak of my real estate career, I led a team of over 350 agents and owned three Keller Williams International franchises.
As an avid investor, I passionately advocate for real estate ownership as the most effective way to build wealth and passive income. My commitment to real estate's potential is deeply rooted in both personal and professional experience, reflecting a lifelong dedication to the industry's enduring power.

Jesse Engel
Jesse grew up in the southern Denver Metro area before attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he graduated with honors with a degree in finance & real estate with a minor in economics in 2007.
During his time at CSU, Jesse completed an internship with McWhinney Real Estate Services, an award-winning commercial real estate developer based in Loveland, CO. While Jesse had every intention of moving back to the Denver area after graduating from CSU, he and his wife Abby had fallen in love with Northern Colorado and decided it was the best place to raise a
family. They have since been blessed with four incredible children.
Jesse became licensed in 2008, just as the real estate market was experiencing a significant downturn. He quickly realized that he needed to learn everything he could about short sales and foreclosures, so in 2009 Jesse teamed up with a top-producing agent who specialized in distressed properties, and Jesse grew his business based on his knowledge of the foreclosure process and being a resource for buyers and sellers navigating what was a difficult market at that time.
In 2017, Jesse accepted a position as the employing broker at a nationally recognized real estate brokerage firm. He added the role of productivity coach to his responsibilities in 2019 and has since joined forces with the largest real estate brokerage firm in Northern Colorado as a managing broker
and development coordinator.
Jesse is well-versed in real estate contracts and has taught contract classes to many real estate agents across the State of Colorado. He uses that knowledge in his personal business to advocate for his clients. He understands the importance of customer service and keeping his clients informed throughout the transaction. His goal is to create lifelong relationships with his clients to become their trusted real estate advisor by providing a full range of real estate services and advising them on the risks and benefits of all aspects of a real estate transaction.

Good realtors are used to thinking about the Code of Ethics. Beyond the ethical guidance it provides, it is also a professional obligation. But what about the application of the Code of Ethics as it relates to social media? While the Code is typically very clear, it's application to social media can be ambiguous.
Between “private” accounts, character limits, and inexperience applying the code to online behavior, it is easy to forget the Code of Ethics or overlook some of its provisions. This could result in an ethics hearing or even a lawsuit.
This course provides students with the understanding of ethics and social media when it comes to real estate. It provides an overview of what to do and not to do to avoid finding yourself in trouble over an easily preventable situation.
